About Us

The North Shore Skating Club was founded in 1948, originally as an ice dance club at the Lynn Arena. In subsequent years it moved its operations to Beverly, Danvers, Saugus and now finds its headquarters in Reading, Massachusetts. During its history the club has grown to more than 350 members, has a seven day a week schedule utilizing two ice surfaces (Burbank Ice Arena in Reading and Hockeytown USA in Saugus) and promotes a format for competitive skaters in the New England Region. In the recent past, North Shore captured the NEICC Free Skating trophy for six consecutive years based on points earned in NEICC competitions.
